Easy Typing

If you are a person that has not learned to type this may be of help to you as you don’t have to quit looking at the screen to find a key on the keyboard. I may also help you, by using the keyboard, you will be able to better memorize the location of the keys. I would suggest that you also get a “Learn to Type” program so that you may improve your typing skills.

TIP:  First let’s make a desktop shortcut:

In XP: Go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/Accessibility /on screen keyboard: Right Click, Send To, Desktop create shortcut.

(In Vista or Windows 7: Go to the Orb/Search and type in: On and at the top of the menu you will see On Screen Keyboard: Right Click, Send To, Desktop create shortcut.)

Now that you have the shortcut on your desktop, Double Click on it to open the keyboard to your desktop. It works just like a regular keyboard except you can use the mouse instead of your fingers to do the typing and you never have to take your eyes off the screen. You can use it in your word processing programs or on any of your browsers. It can be minimized to the taskbar when it is not in use.

NOTE: The icon on your desktop can be dragged to the Quick Launch area of your taskbar and only one click is needed to open it. Once it is in the Quick Launch area you can delete the icon on your desktop.
