Let’s Go For A Scroll

If your mouse has a scroll wheel, try pressing it while viewing a document or Web page. Does a strange little icon appear on the screen?  No, you haven’t ruined your mouse or damaged the computer you just have activated automatic scroll.

TIP:  With the icon on your screen, simply move the mouse up or down to scroll thru the page. You don’t have to do any clicking on the bar at the edge of the screen nor turn the wheel on your mouse saving you time and your fingers. To return to the “normal mode” press down on the wheel again and the icon will disappear and the automatic mode will be gone.

NOTE:  Not all mice have this feature but it is worth a try to see if it works with your mouse. If it doesn’t, you might want to look for a mouse that has better training.
