Match The Task Pane To Your Files
If you make a new folder to store pictures, music, videos or documents and you have not made it a sub-folder of the same category, the task pane will not have the commands you need to work with the files stored in the new folder.
TIP: Create a new folder, let’s say to put vacation pictures in, but do it outside of My Pictures. Name the new folder Vacation Pictures. Next Right Click on the folder and select Properties. In the dialog box window Click on the Customize tab. In the top section, “What type of folder do you want”, use the drop down menu and select Pictures. Click Okay to confirm and close the window.
Transfer your Vacation Pictures into the folder and when you open the folder you will now see that the task pane has all the commands you need to work with your pictures.
NOTE: This works with any type of Folder you want use whether it is Vista or XP.
