Calculating the Calculator.
Open the Windows calculator that comes with every Windows Operating System. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Calculator. This opens the Windows Calculator on your desktop. This is a basic calculator capable of doing simple functions. On the menu bar you will see Edit, View, Help. If you click on Edit, a drop down menu will give you the options of Copy or Paste. If you click on View, a drop down will give you the options of Standard, Scientific and Digit Grouping. It you click on Scientific the Calculator will change its appearance and be able to complete more difficult functions. The only problem with either of these calculators is that neither have a print tape option to let you view your calculations.
TIP: Go to www.moffsoft.com and download their FREE calculator. It has many features the Windows Calculator is missing. You can change the appearance by changing the skin color, resize, and even flatten the buttons. You can save to a file or print out your tape to view your calculations. While you are at the web site, check out the Moffsoft Calculator 2. This one costs around $20 but has a lot more features. It comes with a 30 day trial.
NOTE: This calculator can be downloaded also from: www.tucows.com.
