Quick Tip
018-2007
Change Desktop Image.
TIP: First log on to the internet. Go to: www.caedes.net, and choose a picture you want to use for your new desktop. Click on the picture and a new widow will open with the picture you selected. Click on the size of picture you wish to download. (I suggest 800 X 600 or slightly larger). A new window will open with the size of picture you selected. Right click on that picture, a menu appears. Click on Save Picture As…. And the Save As dialog box opens. In the Save In box navigate to My Pictures. The next step is to create a New Folder and name it Desktop Pictures. Open that folder, rename the picture if you want, and then click the Save button. Download as many pictures as you like, just make sure you put them in this folder so you can find them.
Now you have your pictures so let’s put one on the desktop.
TIP: Right Click on a blank area of the desktop. On the menu that appears select Properties. The Display Properties window opens. Click on the Desktop Tab. Click on the Browse button on the right side. The Browse window opens. Navigate to Desktop Pictures. Click on the picture you want to use for your desktop image and click Open. The Display Properties window will re-open with the picture you selected showing. Under the Browse button you will see the word Position above a drop down arrow box. Click on the arrow and select, Stretch. Now Click OK. The picture you selected has now become your Desktop.
