Quick Tip

Where is my pointer?  I can’t see it!

TIP:  Here is an easy way to find your pointer when you can’t see it on the screen, but first you have to make some changes in the control panel.  Then you’ll never lose it again.

Go to Start > Control Panel (You should be in the Category View) > Printers and Other Hardware > Mouse.  The Mouse Properties Window will open, Click on the tab labeled Pointer Options.  Go down to the last item on the page and put a check mark in the box next to: Show location of pointer when I press CTRL key.  Click Apply, OK, then close any open windows.

Now when you want to locate your pointer just push the CTRL key on your keyboard and you will see a target leading right to your pointer.
