Quick Tip

Clear up the text on your LCD monitor.
Have you ever gone to the optometrist for a check up thinking you had good vision and when he started putting lens in front of your eyes you could see much better? You can do the same test on your LCD monitor.
TIP:
Go to http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx Download and Install Microsoft’s ClearType Tuner. It is designed to enhance the way fonts are rendered in Windows, especially when using an LCD monitor. When you start ClearType Tuner, you will see a Turn On ClearType check box with a paragraph of sample text below it. Click the box, and you should immediately see an improvement in your text making it better. Click the Start Wizard button and follow the instructions on the following comparison screens to adjust the text to suite your needs. It’s like getting a new set of glasses.
If you want to run the Wizard again, go to the control panel, switch to category view and look for the icon with an A on it, labeled ClearType Tuner. Double Click on the icon to run the program again.
