Quick Tip

046-2008

Change the Default Font settings In Microsoft Word.

You can change the default font, font color, underline style and even add special effects, like strikethrough , subscript, shadow, outline, emboss, all caps, small caps and more.

TIP:  Open Word. On the toolbar (at the top of the page) click on Format. From the dropdown menu click on Font. A window will open with three tabs. On the Font tab make the changes and selections you like for your new default Word blank document and then click on the Default button in the lower left corner of the Font Window.  Word will then ask you if you want to make the changes.  Click Yes and your done.

HINT:  Check out the other tabs for some interesting changes you can make to a document, just don’t set them as the default or they will appear in every document.
