USING THE LINKS BAR IN XP AND VISTA

One way I use to gain quick access to some of the Web pages I go to frequently is the Links toolbar.

If you have Windows XP with Service Pack 2, this one's for you.

To install the Links toolbar on your Taskbar, right-click on a blank space on the Taskbar and then click on Toolbars.

Now just click on Links.

Next, look at your Taskbar again and you'll see the word Links on the left side of the Notification Area (formerly the System Tray) located at the bottom right side of your screen. Click on the arrow to the right of the word Links to open it.

You can add Websites to the Links toolbar by clicking on the site's icon on the left side of the URL or Web site address, located in the Internet Explorer address bar, hold down the left mouse button and then drag and drop the icon onto the word Links on the Taskbar.

To remove an entry on the Links Toolbar, right-click on it and then click on Delete.
