Turn “My” Items On The Start Menu From Links To Menus
I found a way to change the display that you see when you click on Start and then on any of the My items, (i.e. My Computer, My Documents, My Pictures etc), so that a menu appears as your mouse pointer touches you’re My items. For me, it's certainly quicker and easier.
TIP:
Right-click on the Start button, and then click on Properties. Click on the Customize button and then open the Advanced tab. In the Start menu items window, scroll down to My Computer, and click next to Display as a menu. Now click on OK, and again on OK. Check it out and if you like it repeat the procedure for the other items on the My list.
NOTE: You can add or delete My Items to the Start menu with a simple click on any of the items in this dialog box.
