Tips & Tricks
Picasa
Barbara Marino
Picasa is a
free photo management software program that helps you
instantly find, edit and share all the photos on your PC. Picasa
automatically locates all your photos (even ones you forgot you had) and
sorts them into visual folders organized by name, size, or date. You can
drag and drop to arrange your folders and make albums to create new
groups. Picasa makes sure your photos are always organized.
Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and
powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share
your photos - you can email, upload to an online album, print photos at
home, make gift CDs, and even post photos to Blogger.
Barbara presented an introduction to Picasa and Picasa3 by showing excerpts from an Amateur tutorial on installing and using the basics of Google’s Picasa. To find this link follow the tinyurl that is provided below, be sure and view the entire videos.
Picasa3
The next generation of Picasa software, Picasa 3, is currently in beta, and available for any interested users. While the basic functionality is similar to Picasa 2.7, there is an exciting list of new and updated features in Picasa 3 that will give you greater control over your online digital photo collection, while providing a faster and simpler way to share. Download Picasa3 and take your photos even further. Using Picasa and Picasa Web Albums together, you can now take photos from your computer to the web and back again in quick, simple steps. With Picasa you can find, organize, edit and print the photos on your computer. Then Picasa Web Albums helps you to share those photos online with family, friends and the world
Picasa Web Albums
Looking for a simple way to get photos from your camera and computer on the web? Picasa Web Albums is a free service that makes sharing your photos quick and easy. Picasa Web Albums now offers new features to help you share, discover and enjoy your photos online. This guide walks you through the main features and functionalities of both products that will help you to do more with your photos.
